How to Dust Hard to Reach Places

High ceiling cleaning tools
Have you ever dusted your ceiling fans before? Most folks answer “no,” but few realize it’s a key piece of your home that should be dusted, especially when you use them frequently. Can you visualize what it would look like when you turn on a ceiling fan that hadn’t been dusted in months…?

There are several high, hard to reach places in your home that are often overlooked with it comes to dusting. We all know the places: room corners, ceiling fans, cathedral ceilings, tops of doorways, etc.

So, how do you clean these hard to reach places? With a little elbow grease and some tools you’ll be able to get the job done.

At Molly Maid, we have a few custom tools we like to use to help clean these areas. However, if you don’t have a high-reaching duster at home, all you really need is a broom, a microfiber cloth, and a rubber band to make one!

Here’s what you do:

  • Dampen your microfiber cloth.
  • Lay damp microfiber cloth over the bristles of your broom, covering it completely.
  • Wrap a rubber band around the microfiber cloth and the bristles to keep it in place.

Now you’re ready to dust those hard to reach places!
