The average family vacuums their living area about two times per week! Here are some tips that will help you save time vacuuming while keeping your house nice and tidy:

  1. Arrange your room. One of the best methods to efficient vacuuming is to have the room ready. We suggest that, before you vacuum, it’s important to pull furniture away from walls and to pick up items off the floor. This will make for less stop and start time, and greater efficiency.
  2. Don’t buy new, repair! Many vacuums get thrown away when they aren’t running correctly. Most of the time, it’s due to a broken belt which leads to reduced suction. Don’t panic. For a few dollars you can simply replace the belt and having it running like new.
  3. Diversify your equipment. Small hand-held vacuums can be very helpful and save you a lot of valuable time, especially when vacuuming furniture and stairs. We suggest that you consider purchasing one of these to keep in your bathroom or living room. It comes in handy when life gets messy!
