Kristin Selmeczy is the franchise Owner of Molly Maid of Bloomingdale, Illinois and she has co-chaired the Molly Maid internal campaign to get fellow business owners involved in our annual drive. Molly Maid will celebrate our 13th season of raising awareness and raising funds and collecting donations from customers across the country during National Domestic Violence Awareness month this October.
Kristin shares the following testimonial:
I would like to share with you one of the reasons that I chose to invest in a Molly Maid franchise. As you all are aware of, cleaning services are cleaning services. The one difference, however, between Molly Maid and any one of our major competitors is our participation in an important charitable effort… the Ms. Molly Foundation. We are able to capitalize on this involvement because it truly is a tool in our marketing arsenal that is not available in any other franchise. Coming from the corporate world, as most of you have, my previous company focused on Youth at Risk, and pushed very hard to have participation. A small investment of time was all it took to build a Habitat House, but the incredible difference it made to the family who received it, was incredibly moving. It only took one event to get me hooked.
Participating in the Ms. Molly Foundation doesn’t have to take a lot of time… there are several ways each franchise owner, business and home office team member can participate. Whether it is a financial donation, cleaning a shelter, holding a fund-raising event or collecting cash donations or goods and services from your clients, it is all very rewarding. While I am a smaller business, we participated during the annual October Making a Difference Drive from the very beginning of our franchise. Becoming a part of the fabric of your community means getting involved. I always take the opportunity to tell people both potential clients and other business owners that we are the only national cleaning company with a foundation focused on giving back in the communities we serve.
