Clean Like a Pro

Molly Maid house cleaners move through your home in a precise, structured process. Every room is dusted left to right, top to bottom. Starting with cobwebs hiding in hard-to-reach corners and dust that clings to ceiling fans and light fixtures, our maids work more efficiently from the top down — not missing a spot. This method helps corral dust and dirt, making it easier to vacuum away. Follow our process and you will be a pro too! Below are a few more quick solutions that you may not have heard of before.

Stainless Steel Sink Cleaning

Ever come home from a hard day at the office to discover your angelic young children have piled dirty dishes high in your new stainless steel sink? Fear not, after emptying the sink instead of sitting down to read that paper you were hoping to glance at, use this quick tip to reclaim that luster:

Solution: Sprinkle a little baking soda on a sponge, rub the sink gently and rinse. Sparkle and shine in seconds! See our video on How to Clean a Sink!

Erasing Furniture Footprints

Eagerly awaiting the delivery of your new dining room table and chairs? It’s so satisfying to arrange the new pieces and admire how great they look in that perfect spot. That is of course until you notice all the carpet impressions from the furniture you’ve already written off as ancient history. How to fully erase the footprints of your old furniture is as simple as stepping in to your kitchen:

Solution: Count the number of impressions you need to “erase” and march straight to your freezer. Grad an ice cube or two per impression and simply set the cubes in each impression. As they melt the carpet fibers will loosen and stand. Let it dry overnight, vacuum, and good as new! See our video on How to Remove Dents from Carpet!

Removing Stubborn Stickers

With only 20 minutes until your cocktail party starts you realize all of your new wine glasses have those pesky stickers on the bottom. Of course you want to spare your newly minted manicure but hate to have your guests staring down at the $3.99 value sticker through their chardonnay. No problem, this is easy to dis-“solve:”

Solution Open the pantry and reach for a jar of peanut butter, preferably smooth. If you don’t have peanut butter you can use plain white toothpaste too. Spread the peanut butter or toothpaste right over the sticky residue and gently rub with a moist cloth or sponge. The oils will quickly lift the sticker right off. Clean, shine, complete!
